The 62 can be pretty bright depending on your disposition and the era of the sax. The 82Z is a darker sound than the 62 and blows a lot freer than the SX90. The book features a whole range of exercises for the intermediate and advanced saxophone player.I suspect that is true. Most modern pads have some degree of waterproofing (and sealing of any porosity - apart from kangaroo pads). When badly done it is sticky; when well done it is not stick, and it is very successful. It can be very sharp (10 to 20 cents) and can be "stuffy." To flatten it out you can hold the left hand pinky B or Bb key.
